Findley State Park offers a shelter house situated on a peninsula known as Picnic Point, that affords a panoramic view of the lake and surrounding shoreline. This area is within walking distance to the swimming beach and shoreline for fishing. The shelter seats up to 75 people comfortably with several grills, picnic tables, a bench swing and group fire ring in the immediate vicinity. In addition, interior lighting and electric outlets are available.

Instructions:

Cost for reserving the shelter house is $50.00 on Saturday or Sunday, or $40.00 for a weekday, plus an $8.25 reservation fee. Reservations can be made one year in advance of the requested date. A 10% discount is given for an applicant with a Golden Buckeye Card.  The reservation number is 1-866-644-6727 or online at www.ohiostateparks.orgChanges or cancellations made up to the close of business 15 days or more prior to your arrival date will result in the loss of the $8.25 reservation fee for each reservation. Changes or cancellations made 14 days or less prior to your scheduled arrival date will result in the loss of the rental fee and the $8.25 reservation fee.

  • The applicant must be at least 18 years of age or older.
     
  • Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the park.
     
  • All Department & Division rules and regulations will be adhered to.
     
  • Approval of this application will authorize the applicant to use the shelter house for the requested date only.
     
  • The applicant will have the shelter house from 10:00 am until the park closes at 11:00 pm.
     
  • Failure to arrive on the date of the reservation does not constitute grounds for a refund.  Fees for the unused reservation will be forfeited.
     
  • Reservations must be requested at least 24 hours in advance.
     
  • Shoreline fishing is permitted with a valid Ohio Fishing License which is required for park visitors who are 16 and over.
