all campers to not move firewood to prevent the spread of Emerald Ash
Borer.

Friends
of Findley State Park, Inc.
A non-profit organization, Friends of Findley State Park was founded in
2004 to help preserve the state park’s natural resources and to provide
activities and facilities to benefit the park and its guests. Friends of
Findley’s volunteers are also very instrumental in the execution of the
park’s events and campouts.
Buckeye
Trail Association
The Buckeye Trail Association is a non-profit, volunteer group that
assists in the maintenance of the Buckeye Trail, which loops around the
entire state of Ohio. Part of the Buckeye Trail runs through Findley
State Park and the Spencer Lake Wildlife Preserve.

Village of Wellington
The Village of Wellington is located 50 miles southwest of Cleveland and
is just north of Findley State Park. Enjoy local events such as the
Lorain County Fair or utilize other resources Wellington has to offer.

Nearby parks:
Mohican State Park
If you travel 50 minutes south of Findley, you will find Mohican State
Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, fishing, mountain biking, and viewing
points of interest such as the fire tower, Memorial Shrine, and the
covered bridge. The Mohican Resort and Conference Center is also located
within the State Memorial Forest.
Malabar Farm State Park
Malabar Farm State Park is located about one hour south of Findley State
Park. This state park provides its guests the opportunity to take tours
of the Louis Bromfield house and Malabar Farm, and to dine at the
Malabar Inn Restaurant and shop at the gift shop.
Lorain County Metro Parks
With several locations throughout Lorain County, the branch closest to
Findley State Park is Wellington Reservation. Nature programs, trails,
and pontoon boating are only a few of the activities offered here. Visit
