A non-profit organization, Friends of Findley State Park was founded in 2004 to help preserve the state park’s natural resources and to provide activities and facilities to benefit the park and its guests. Friends of Findley’s volunteers are also very instrumental in the execution of the park’s events and campouts. Buckeye Trail Association The Buckeye Trail Association is a non-profit, volunteer group that assists in the maintenance of the Buckeye Trail, which loops around the entire state of Ohio. Part of the Buckeye Trail runs through Findley State Park and the Spencer Lake Wildlife Preserve.
