Winter Hike - Feb.
4, 10 a.m.
Enjoy the best hiking day and the best bean soup, with the
hardiest hikers in Ohio. This event is sponsored by the park
and the BTA. Hikes includes a 10k, 5k and
interpretive lead hikes. Meet at the nature center in the
campground. Bean soup is provided by the non-profit Friends of
Findley State Park and donations are appreciation. Call

Easter Egg Hunt - April 7,
11 a.m.
Children 10 and under are invited to hunt for fun filled eggs.
Location will be in the campground area for 2011. A special section will be provided
for children under 3 years old. There may even be a special
visit from the Easter Bunny! Free to the public.

Root Beer
Float Socials - May 26 & September

Enjoy summertime with a delicious old fashion root beer
float. The Friends of Findley State Park sponsor this
event at every summer holiday as a fund raising means. All
proceeds benefit the park directly. The most recent
donation to the park from the group is a pavilion that was built
in 2010. All three socials are open to the public. For

Trash to Treasure Weekend - June 15-
17
Campers are permitted to hold a yard sale at their
registered campsite. Sale starts at 3 p.m. Friday until 1 p.m.
on Sunday. There is a $10.00 fee to participate,
which can be paid at the time of arrival. Contact park for

Youth Fishing Derby - June 16,
10 am-12 pm
The lake will be stocked with hundreds of catfish for youngsters
to catch for fun and prizes, and sharpen fishing skills. Old pros
will be on hand for tips on bait, tackle and identification.
Meet at the Picnic Point picnic area. Free to the public. Regular

Cruise-In to Summer - June 24,
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Join the Friends of Findley State Park for their
6th annual car
show and cruise. Registration is from 9 a.m. - Noon. Music,

Venison Chili Cook Off - Oct.
27, 1p.m.
Calling all cooks! Participants must
pre-register at the park for this event by
October 15. Findley provides the venison to contestants
on Friday of the event. Contestants
must return their entries for judging by 1 p.m. on Saturday at
